Introduction
The Equipment Locator (EQL) is an ActiveX component for M-Graphics or GraphWorX32 that allows a user to instantly find or locate a piece of equipment on the building floor plan graphic. When a request to locate equipment is initiated via a button on the graphic, a pull-down list is shown with all possible equipment pieces shown. When one is selected, the appropriate floor plan is displayed with the equipment flashing green. An optional popup window can be displayed with the equipment.
For large floor plans, the zoom level is automatically adjusted based on the size of the found object and the view is centered on the object.
If the floor plans are developed using layers, the equipment locator can automatically change to the appropriate layer prior to finding the object.
All equipment is maintained in a single database file and can be edited by double-clicking on the special EQL objects in the graphic when in configure mode.
The types of equipment and quantities are only limited to your imagination and system resources.
In a couple of mouse clicks you can locate...
