Streamside Notes
Streamside Notes is an ActiveX component for M-Graphics that allows operators to view and add operator notes to
a system while viewing a graphic. Upon opening a system graphic, the operator can immediately see that a note is active for that system along with the priority level of the note. When a note is active for a particular system, a button on the graphic will flash and the priority and number of notes will be displayed graphically. The example to the right indicates the highest priority of the note is critical (red) and there are a total of 4 notes entered for this system.
There are 3 levels of priority that you can enter for each note: Critical (red), Warning (yellow), and General (gray). When at least one note is in the system, the actual button will flash. When there are no notes for the system, the NOTE button will be shown without the message flag.
When the notes button is pressed, a summary of all of the active notes for that system will be shown including the date and priority of the notes. The operator can filter notes based on the priority (critical, warning, and general notes) or view notes that were entered within the last 24 hours.
Double-clicking on a particular note will show more details about the note. Operator name, start/stop date and time of the note, and detailed description of the note can be viewed and edited.
All notes are stored in a single database, allowing all workstations to see and update the database information simultaneously. Operators from different shifts can view notes that were entered by other shifts.
The notes can also be closed out and stored for a history of notes for a particular system.
